Clear a landing space

Before an ironing delivery, make a small clear space for the return. A spare part of a clothes rail or an uncluttered shelf makes it easier to put items away thoughtfully instead of leaving another pile on the nearest chair.

Avoid crowded storage

Pressed clothing can pick up new creases when it is squeezed into tightly packed drawers or pushed between too many hanging items. You do not need an elaborate wardrobe system: enough room to place garments without crushing them is a useful starting point.

Choose returns to suit the space

NIS returns clothes hung or folded. Consider the clothes you send and where they will be stored, then make your preference clear when booking. Ask about particular items or requirements rather than assuming one method is suitable for every garment.

Keep the routine small

Put away the items you use most first and keep everyday clothing easy to find. Check care labels for garment-specific handling and storage needs. Having the ironing taken care of can remove one household task; a simple putting-away routine helps you make use of that work when the clothes come home.
